Want to read a blog about puppies? Tiny baby Weimaraner puppies?

(If you’re still reading this, the answer must be, “Yes! Tell me more about those puppies!”)

Well then, folks, you have come to the right blog!

In The Beginning

On Wednesday, August 10, three of us brought home 6 day old puppies, orphaned when their mother died a few days before. Aww! Though the puppies had been fortunate enough to be fed by a surrogate mom since their mother’s death, her milk was expected to soon dry up. The decision was made to separate the pups and adopt them out to individual families for feeding. Kim Spencer, Lauren Crooks, and Ashley McLure all volunteered to take one home. Suckers.

The puppies were adorable and oh so tiny. At six days old, they weighed:

Sookie 1lb 3oz

Willma 1lb 7oz

Margaux 1lb 10oz

Yesterday, at 11 days old, they weighed:

Sookie 2lb 2oz

Willma 2lb 10oz

Margaux 3lb 2oz

Still very adorable, slightly less tiny.

Today, after almost a week in their new homes, the three sweet girls are all eating and growing well. Eyes are opening and little little legs are growing more steady. Personalities are beginning to develop. Families are falling in love with their newest members.

So glad to read the pups are doing well. I was the owner of the mama who passed away. It's been a hard time but so glad the pups are doing well with such great families.
