Brent Chandler, DVM

Dr. Brent Chandler, an Alabama native, grew up in Decatur. Dr. Chandler studied Animal Dairy Science as an undergraduate at Auburn University, and received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. He established North Shelby County Animal Hospital soon after, in 1999. As Chief of Staff at North Shelby County Animal Hospital, Dr. Chandler fosters a welcoming work environment and truly treats his staff like family. Just ask any one of the loyal staff members who have worked at North Shelby County Animal Hospital for over twenty years! Dr. Chandler is equally dedicated to his clients and their pets. His commitment to excellent patient and client care goes beyond measure. Dr. Brent Chandler takes a special interest in Orthopedics and Surgery.

In his spare time, Dr. Chandler enjoys the great outdoors and especially time spent at his farm, entertaining and relaxing with his family. The Chandler Family owns three dogs:  two French Bulldogs, Humphrey and Fiona, and a Labrador Retriever named Lulu.
